Giveaway & Review: Phokki Graphic Art Portrait [CLOSED]

When I was presented with the chance to review the Phokki experience, I jumped at the chance! What is Phokki? It is a website where you can submit your everyday boring old photos to be transformed into works of art. No, I'm not referring to the standard pop art posters or photos on canvas. That's all been done before! Phokki will create a custom work of art for you based on your photo. You can choose from an illustration, a caricature, vector pop art, manga art, and more. You can even have your photos retouched or restored through Phokki.

I chose to transform a portrait of my 3 children into a caricature based on a movie. Take a look at the results . . .

My husband, our oldest son, and I were extremely pleased with the results. My husband is a die-hard Star Wars fanatic. Can you guess who chose the theme?

What impressed me about Phokki.com:

1) The artist or artists are obviously very talented.
2) I like that you can just pay for the art to be done and get a digital copy, rather than being required to order prints or other products from Phokki.
3) The website shows many amazing examples of their work. It was extremely helpful to see what past customers have ordered.
4) I think the prices are very reasonable for digital images, perfect for bloggers who are looking for original graphics for their blog designs.

One thing I think Phokki needs to work on is its communication. When I placed my order, I did not receive an order confirmation of any kind. In fact, I did not receive anything until the artwork showed up in my inbox several days later.

My overall experience with Phokki.com is a positive one. Having chosen a caricature, the possibilities were endless. It took me a long time to figure out what I wanted for my custom artwork. If you are thinking about ordering through Phokki, I recommend that you allow them more than 3 days to get your digital image to you. Mine took more than the 3 days since I had requested something that was more difficult to produce. It was definitely worth the wait. My husband and I are going to have ours printed out and will hang it up in the kid's play area in a poster frame.

Thank you to Phokki.com and the Family Review Network for this opportunity.
