Review: Sensible Portions Cheating With Chocolate

Not too long ago, I won a backpack full of Sensible Portions Cheating With Chocolate Mini Crisps from Living in a House of Blue. They are little baked multi grain rice cakes that are drizzled in chocolate. There are approximately 18 (1oz) in each pre-packed snack size bag which equals 100 calories.

Sensible Portions snacks also come in savory flavors, like Cheddar, Tomato Basil, and Parmesan & Herb. The one I really want to try is the Sea Salt! That one sounds tasty!! These are sold in stores like BJ's Wholesale Club, Costco, and Sam's Club, so I will have to look to see what kind of selection BJ's has next time I'm shopping there.

Now let's get back to the sweet stuff. Here is what impressed me about the Sensible Portions Cheating With Chocolate snacks . . .

1) It comes in two must-win flavors . . . S'mores and Cinna-Swirl. Although my children liked both, I think S'mores is the favorite in our house.

2) Both kinds are drizzled in chocolate and is just sweet enough to satisfy your craving for something chocolaty or something sweet in general.

3) These worked out great as an alternative to a dessert for my children (ages 2, 2, and 5). The twins were able to split a bag between them.

My overall thoughts on these snacks are they do taste good, but they are not very filling. If you are just trying to satisfy a craving, these will fill that need. If you are actually hungry, then you would have to eat more than one single serve pack to make your hunger subside before your next meal.
