Holiday 2010 Giveaway: Bright Starts Doodle Bugs Around We Go!™ Activity Station [CLOSED]

The Bright Starts Doodle Bugs Around-We-Go! Activity Station won the Creative Child Magazine Toy of the Year Award for 2010 and was the Editor's Choice for the SheKnows.com 2010 Parenting Choice Awards for Infant Activity Centers because it truly is a unique toy worthy of these awards. It is the only product of its kind designed to grow with baby through the toddler years. It features an innovative seat that rotates 360 degrees around the table top to give baby full access to all the toys and activities. It has an electronic piano (3 “C” batteries required) with a flip book that has 3 modes of play: fun songs, piano keys, and silly sounds (a favorite among the kids here). It also has a removable eating tray with a cup holder, a pond station with a bead chaser, a popping fish toy, spinning dragonfly, and sliding frog/fish character, a ratcheting bee toy, a spinning ball toy and bendable bug stalks for attaching additional toys. The seat also easily detaches so the activity table can be walked or pulled up to for independent play, a feature all the children have greatly enjoyed.


When we received this, I could not wait to put it together. It was mostly easy to assemble and took me about 1 hour to do by myself and only required a screwdriver. The hardest part was securing the padding of the seat into position because the straps were very hard to fit in the notches. Nonetheless, once I got it put together, I was very pleased with it. At the time, the baby I watch was about 10 months old and instantly loved this activity station. I can honestly say there was nothing about it he didn’t like and when I would take him out, he would crawl back to it and try to get back in. He particularly enjoyed chasing my dog around in circles while he was in the seat. He ate several snacks in it and I was happy with how easy it was to clean the snack tray. The whole station is quite easy to clean with just a damp cloth and the seat is a vinyl-like material, so it’s wipeable as well.


All the kids in the daycare have loved playing with its many activities and I’ve been very pleased with its sturdiness and its cuteness factor. I think this is a must-have for babies and could easily replace an exisaucer and be useful for much longer. My 3 year old even loves playing with the table. The seat of the station is for infants and toddlers only who are at least 4 months of age, able to sit up unassisted, weighing less than 25 lbs. and less than 30" tall.
