Holiday 2010 Giveaway: Remote Control Anti-Gravity Web Runner Spider [CLOSED]

Web Runner is a new toy from Fantasma that is like no other: It’s an anti-gravity, remote controlled spider that climbs ceilings and walls. This is Fantasma’s very first remote controlled toy, and what a great toy it is. The spider has realistic legs, red eyes that glow, and it can move over any smooth surface. It spins 360 degrees and will move on floors, walls, and even upside down. The spider is completely wireless (6 “AA” batteries required) and its remote is also its charging station.




My kids (and the daycare kids) are fascinated by this toy. My walls are all textured, a fact I didn’t notice until this toy came, so it doesn’t move as smoothly as we’d like, but it still works well enough to be highly amusing for them all.


Honestly, this toy spider kind of freaks me out because it’s so realistic looking, but that doesn’t bother anyone else. It is not made of the highest quality materials, but it has to be light for the anti-gravity feature to work. Also, the vacuum seal that keeps it attached to the walls/ceiling is pretty loud, which gets on my nerves fairly quickly. But, the battery actually lasts awhile and they can usually get 10-15 minutes of play with each charge, which is pretty good for this type of toy. All in all, everyone has been pretty happy with this toy, especially the kids. The fun-factor and uniqueness of it makes up for the other stuff.
