A Toy From My Tot

Posted by Posted by Karen of Sillymonkeez On 12:01 AM

Since Jake was just three
He has picked out a cool toy
For another boy.

A toy he would love
To keep and take home himself . . .
A toy that's special.

Thank you Toys For Tots
For helping to teach our son
To give to others.

To play along or to read more great haikus, visit Christina at A Mommy Story. Hope everyone is enjoying the holidays so far!

  1. Mel Said,

Awww, that's so sweet! Of course, you had a hand in teaching your son the joy of giving too. Sweet haiku.

  2. Amanda Said,

We always participate in adopt-a-child at my church and its always been something I look forward too! Always important to teach kids about giving back! Have a good weekend :)

  3. Cathy Said,

That's great--it's so important to teach your kids how fortunate they are.

  4. I'm looking forward to this also. Planning to take my kids shopping this weekend. It's never too early to teach them to give to others less fortunate.

  9. Frugal Mommy Said,

We do the same thing!!! This year we added a nursing home lady to our list this year and bought her 2 shirts. It really helps teach my girls how lucky we are!
