Giveaway & Review: Skin MD Natural +SPF 15 Shielding Lotion [CLOSED]

Ready for another giveaway?

I am someone who has had eczema her whole life. Where and how badly I have it may vary, but I always have eczema in some form. As an adult, I mostly suffer from it on my hands. It usually flares up when springtime allergies hit. The problem is, if I do not get a handle on it by the middle of autumn, I am in trouble for the winter. That is precisely what happened to me this year. It is nearly impossible to get my eczema under control during the winter here in New England because the air is so dry. Cortisone just seems to make my skin thinner and make it more susceptible to splitting. I've tried all kinds of moisturizers, some with oatmeal and some with silicone, and none of them keep my hands from cracking and splitting on the areas where I have eczema. The fact that I have young children at home and need to wash my hands often does not help at all. So when Skin MD contacted me to review their Skin MD Natural +SPF Shielding Lotion, I jumped at the chance.

The video below demonstrates how impressive "shielding effect" of Skin MD can be . . .

These are the results I have to report after using Skin MD Natural +SPF Shielding Lotion for approximately 10 days.

1) Skin MD gave me almost immediate relief when my hands were so dry they were hurting.

2) It really helped to apply the lotion before I went to bed. By morning my hands felt and looked a lot better.

3) Skin MD kept the cracking and splitting on my hands from getting worse, which was the way it was going before I started using the shielding lotion. I do not see a major improvement though. If I had been using this product in conjunction with cortisone during any other season besides our brutal winters (it is 20 degrees outside today and will be single digits tomorrow), I think I would have had much better results.

4) As per the instructions on the bottle, you do need to reapply after washing your hands if you want the shielding effect to continue.

5) The lotion does dry quickly and does not leave a greasy feeling behind.

6) The parts of my hands that are not effect by eczema are very soft and not dry at all after using Skin MD.

Overall, I would recommend Skin MD Natural +SPF Shielding Lotion to anyone with dry skin. I am definitely going to give mine another chance to work towards the end of the winter when the weather is not so severe. For now, I am happy that it can make my hands stop hurting when they are red and feel like the skin will tear at the slightest movement. That in itself is a huge plus for me.

I love that it's paraben free. My hands are so thrashed, but we try to only use paraben free products so this would be great!

  119. nape Said,

I, too, have eczema, and it's miserable in cold winter months like these. If you've had success with Skin MD, I'm anxious to try it NOW. Most important to me in the list of eleven is "hypoallergenic." I definitely don't need my TREATMENT to cause further skin damage.

I'm glad I found you. Great giveaway!

I love their products. The most important to me is that it prevents dry skin. I have a mild case of psorasis and this helps me more than my prescription cream.
    Thanks for the nice giveaway.
