Weekend Wishlist: BEARPAW Boots, Chalkboard Mugs, Girls Personalized Tutu Ballerina Tote Bag, and More!

It's Friday!  That means I've been browsing the new sales on Zulily.  I love shopping on the weekends because I only pay shipping on my first order and get free shipping on everything else from Friday through midnight on Sunday.  I am torn between all the end-of-summer deals and all the sales on new fall items, so I have some of each on my wishlist today.  I'm mostly set for back-to-school, so now I am starting to think about fall, winter, and Holiday gift shopping.  Even though I already own the BEARPAW Hickory & Camel Suede Ashton Boot, I saw another pair of cuddly BEARPAW boots that I would love to own!  A girl can never have too many pairs of warm boots, right?

What's new on my Zulily wishlist today?

1.  Classic Chalk Talk Mug - Set of Four - $22.99 (Originally $32)

2.  White Heart 'Don't Wake Me Up' Pajamas - $9.99 (Originally $24)

My Photos (W/E 7-16-11)

Our 4.5 year old daughter had her first ballet class last week.  Luckily I was not the only parent their all excited, commenting about how adorable all the students were, and taking photos.  I was, however, the only parent who took about 150 photos.  I'm not crazy and obsessive.  I had doubts that many of my photos would come out well because I was using my little point and shoot, I was shooting through a glass window, and I was not using a flash to eliminate any reflection.

I did share a few photos on Facebook, but I liked this one because . . . well, I've always had a soft spot for photos from behind.  It was not the best quality photo, so I had to do a little photo editing.  So do you like the colored or the black and white better?

Thank you for taking the time to view my photos this week! If you'd like to play along or see more great photos, stop by to see Lotus a.k.a. Sarcastic Mom.

Review: Prima Princessa Presents "The Nutcracker" (DVD)

If your little ballerina enjoyed Prima Princessa Presents Swan Lake, then she will surely enjoy the second DVD in this series titled Prima Princessa Presents the Nutcracker. This DVD presents segments of the ballet "The Nutcracker" as performed by the San Francisco Ballet. In between these segments, Prima Princessa (an animated fairy princess ballerina) narrates the instruction to a few basic ballet steps demonstrated by students of the School of American Ballet.

What I thought about this Nutcracker DVD:

1) I think this DVD is designed well for young children. The 40 minute presentation alternates between the performance of the Nutcracker and mini ballet lessons. Both the length of the DVD and the timing are perfect for a younger child's attention span.

2) With the latest TinkerBell craze, my twin toddler son and daughter were very excited to see the winged Prima Princessa.

3) I was very pleased to find that my toddler son found the DVD to be equally entertaining as his twin sister. In fact, he made more attempts to copy the ballet steps than she did. My daughter mostly hopped and skipped around the room in her tutu. Both children had a ball with this DVD.

4) I think this DVD would be a useful tool in gauging your child's interest in ballet before you make the decision to sign her (or him) up for lessons.

You can currently find Prima Princessa Presents the Nutcracker on Amazon.com for the reduced price of $11.49. This item also qualifies for Amazon's Free Super Saver Shipping. To view this DVD's trailer, visit PrimaPrincessa.com .
