Holiday 2010 Giveaway: Personalized Holiday Cards & More [CLOSED]

Every year we order holiday photo cards to send out to our friends and family. We just think they are more personal. Because they are more personal, we do not feel comfortable sending them to business and casual acquaintances. That is why we always purchase additional Christmas cards that are elegant and slightly more formal. This year we found the perfect cards from The Gallery Collection.

The Seasons Greetings Shimmering Tree Card had the elegance we were looking for. Like some of the other holiday cards available on GalleryCollection.com, this design is offered with either "Seasons Greetings" or "Merry Christmas" on the front. The inside of the card houses a greeting we selected from a long list of possibilities. Beneath the greeting is a personalized signature we composed to represent our family.

We were able to have the envelopes foil embossed with our return address, which looks much nicer than address labels. Our envelopes also are lined with foil, have a torn edge, and are self-sealing.

Holiday 2010 Giveaway: Photo Holiday Cards & More from CardStore.com [CLOSED]

It is officially that time of year! Time to, not only start thinking about your holiday cards, but also gifts, gift bags, gift boxes, and gift tags. Is your head spinning yet? One thing that I have learned is that photo gifts are always a hit. Having over 1000 different Christmas cards to choose from did not help my decision. One thing I strongly considered was a photo notebook. Shop 'n' Share: Love My Holiday Cards From Tiny*Prints

Our holiday cards arrived a few days ago from TinyPrints.com ! My husband and I could not be more pleased. Somehow my casual at-home photo was turned into a wonderful holiday portrait. Of course, you cannot see that the boys are wearing matching shirts and our daughter is dressed all pretty in a red tutu, but I can live with that.

I was actually worried because this photo was the only usable photo out of the bunch and it has somewhat of an unbalanced composition. When I saw the Wonderful Wave card, I had a feeling that this might be the perfect design for this photo. That didn't stop me from looking through every single-photo holiday card there was available though. There are 462 single-photo flat holiday cards on Tiny*Prints and many of them come in more than one color. For example, the one I chose also came in red.

The cards are almost fully customizable. You upload your photo and then you can change the placement as well as zoom in and out. You have total control over what the text reads and you are able to select the fonts. Most of the time you will have at least two font colors to choose from for a particular design. There is also the option of either coordinating address labels or preprinted envelopes. I opted for the preprinted envelopes this year because it means less work for me.

Cost-wise, ordering your holiday cards from Tiny*Prints would fall in between ordering cards from your local photo processing store and ordering cards from a professional portrait studio. Now that I've done all of the above, I really like Tiny*Prints because there is so much more to choose from. I am extremely unlikely to see an identical holiday card from another family I know this year.

I Should Have Used the Free Personal Shopper Service from Tiny*Prints

I am extremely excited that my holiday photo cards have shipped from Tiny*Prints! I will, of course, share them with you when they arrive.

I just wanted to state how I regret not taking advantage of the new Tiny*Prints Personal Shopper Service, which is free until November 15th, 2009. Because I am such a control freak, I ended up spending about 4 hours looking through the vast selection of designer holiday cards repeatedly, thus driving my husband crazy. It took the first two hours for me to narrow my choices down to ten. Then another hour for me to narrow it down to five. After my husband picked his favorite of those 5, I spent the last hour trying decide if I should go with the red or the white card.

So if you are planning on ordering your holiday cards before the 15th of this month, I highly recommend that you try this free service. It will probably save you quite a bit of time and frustration.
