Sing (and Shop) Your Heart Out with Disney FROZEN and Kohl's! #FrozenFunAtKohls #Sponsored

In past years, I usually start my Holiday shopping by the beginning of summer at the latest.  This year is no different.  Kohl's is your destination for gift shopping for your Disney FROZEN fan!  We stopped into Kohl's because I some some really cute FROZEN graphic tees on the website.  We ended up finding so much more.  In the girl's Disney section alone, there were FROZEN knit tops, skirted leggings, and sleepwear.  We also saw FROZEN headphones, DS games, books, bedding, and tree ornaments.  The gift-giver inside of me nearly exploded.  I got all these ideas about how the tree ornaments would make beautiful gift toppers and how the headphones would be a great item to gift with a CD player and the FROZEN soundtrack for a young music-lover!  Who doesn't love the song 'Let It Go!' after all?  I hear my children singing it while they're busy doing something and can't help but smile.  When I hear them singing 'Let It Go!' (and sometimes 'Do You Wanna Build a Snowman'), I know that they're feeling good, happy, and all is right with the world.

What do you have to do to enter?  Submit a video of you and up to 5 other people performing the song 'Let It Go!' to the Frozen Sing Your Heart Out Contest by Monday, September 29th, 2014.  Everyone featured in the top ten videos will win a trip to L.A. for filming and the winning act will appear in the commercial spot during the AMAs!  Don't know all the words?  No worries!  You can find the sing-a-long karaoke video here.  (Remember to read the official contest rules before entering.)

The Kia #Hamsters are Back in the New 2014 Kia Soul Commercial #kiasocialclub

It is funny how much impact an advertising campaign can have on popular culture. Some impact culture because they are terrible, some may because they are controversial, but every now and then there comes along a campaign that hits us because of its creativity and entertainment value. And even fewer yet just seem to hit us in the soul and can impact culture for generations.

I can walk into a room and say “Hey, he likes it! Mikey likes it!” and know that anybody over the age of 30 knows exactly what I am talking about. Or throw out a “Wheres the beef?!” and get a few giggles no matter where you are.

One of the more recent gems that will certainly stick with me as well as younger generations are the Kia hamsters. Something about chunky hip-hop hamsters dancing to Party Rock in the middle of a robot apocalypse hits me in my happy center. I loved it, my kids loved it, the world loved it. I think Kia nailed it and crossed generations with its not so subtle dance and fun ends war message. And what better way to illustrate that than dancing hamsters, great music, and a fun car.

Well, Kia didn't let the hamsters end there (How could they? We love them!). It's awesome that the 2014 Kia Soul gets a makeover and so do the Hamsters! Check out the new 2014 Kia Soul commercial and tell us all about your favorite part . . .
