Review: Tank-Tastic Body Wrap Shapewear

Being a plus-sized woman, I am always interested in shapewear that helps slim and flatter me. When Body Wrap offered me some of their amazing shapewear, I jumped at the opportunity to try it out. I was sent the Tank-Tastic Cami, which features a unique seamless bra that shapes and supports and has wide straps for comfort. This cami can be worn with or without your favorite bra and is very slimming and smoothing in the tummy area, but also comfortable. It slenderizes the waist, smooths bulges, provides back support and is 100% invisible and seamless under clothes.

I have tried many forms of shapewear in the past, and most are hard to get into and out of, and can be very restricting and uncomfortable. Because of the tank top style, this cami is much easier to get on than traditional pantie-style shapewear, but does its job equally well. It is very comfy and, though it did its job, I did not feel like I was wearing a corset or was suffocating inside it. I did have to wear a bra because I am large chested and the included bra didn’t quite provide enough support, but I really liked the support and shape it gave my breasts with both bras.

The Tank-Tastic Cami is designed specifically for full-figured women.  It comes in Black and Nude in sizes 1X thru 3X and retails for $62.  You can purchase Body Wrap Shapewear on their website, www.bodywrap-shapewear.com.

Thank you to Body Wrap for providing a complimentary product sample for us to base this review upon.

Giveaway & Review: Kymaro Body Shaper & Bottom Shaper Shapewear [CLOSED]

Since giving birth to twins a few years ago, I have not been able to get rid of my postpartum belly. I have tried all types of shapewear and none of them offered enough control. These new pieces by Kymaro are an exception.

The Kymaro New Body Shaper offers an amazing amount of control. I do think that I should have received one size larger even though my bra size recommends a size 2. Because I received a size that was a bit too small for me, I had much difficulty pulling the Body Shaper on because it needed to go over my hips. Once in place, the Body Shaper took inches off my belly. It also miraculously gave me a very defined waistline. I never had much of a waistline even when I was a size 1. That was just my build. So I was shocked to see how this Body Shaper now worked on my size 10 body. Because the size was too small, although I looked great, I was not comfortable. I felt like I could not exhale easily and I would not be able to sit down. I also needed my husband's assistance in taking the Body Shaper off.

Although I do not have many problems in my hind area, I could still see the difference the Kymaro Bottom Shaper Shorts made. This piece of shapewear better defined the "w" on the lower part of my bottom.

Below you can see the control panels used in both the top and the bottom pieces. The left photo shows the wide panel on the top that goes all around the mid-section and is not just located in the front. I think that is where most other brands go wrong. Having the control panel just in the front does not give the extra control someone like myself needs. The photo on the right shows how these shorts define the buttocks.

I would love to try the Kymaro Body Shaper in the size 3. You can actually find this product for $39.99 at major retailers, such as Target, Wamart, and CVS. If you do try one or both of these pieces, I'd love to hear how they worked out for you.

Thank you to Kymaro for sending me samples of each garment free of charge to base this review upon and for providing a second set for our contest prize.

Review: Breeze Comfort Perforated Push-Up Bra

It has always been an ongoing joke how much I am lacking in the chest area. I have been wearing push-up bras for as long as I can remember. I've bought many different brands in a variety of styles (demi cup, full coverage, molded cup, gel-filled, water-filled, convertible, strapless, etc . . . ) throughout my life, therefore I feel I can give a good assessment about the Breeze Comfort Push-Up Bras . . . at least from a small-breasted woman's point-of-view.
Breeze Comfort carries breathable padded bras, sport bras, and sport tanks. Their secret is a patented ventilated bra pad.

The graphic below shows how the perforations in the bra. When I hold my Breeze Comfort bra up to a light source, I can see the light shining through the perforations as illustrated in the graphic, even through the thickest parts of the padding.

Although I did not wear this bra to exercise, I did where it to go to the mall with three young children. That qualifies as a workout in my book. The mall is one place where I always feel overheated, especially when it's crowded. I have to say that I could notice a cooling effect similar to sitting in front of a fan while perspiring, but much more subtle than that of course.

As far as the fit and comfort goes, I very much liked that this bra is tagless and has elasticized adjustable shoulder straps. The underwire felt just like that of any other underwire bra. You could feel the rigid wire, but I have yet to find an underwire bra where I could not. This is the first full-coverage bra that has cups that fit me well. I am also very pleased that this bra is extremely smooth and would be a good choice to wear under a t-shirt, which usually shows every imperfection.

Currently you can purchase Breeze Comfort bras right on BreezeComfort.com . All orders within the U.S. and Hong Kong ship for free. All other locations receive free shipping on orders over $50.
