Over is the Only Way I Roll!

Did you hear the news? We won! Team Over won the great Cottonelle Roll Poll debate about which way is the right way to roll your toilet paper. I never doubted we would win for a minute. After all, "Over" is the only way to roll that makes any sense and 72% of the poll takers agree with me.

For the longest time, my husband did the unthinkable. He put the toilet paper on the holder so that it would roll away from you. I never really knew the reason behind it. Was it because he really liked to do things backwards or was he just be absent-minded? Was he just doing it because he knew it would drive me crazy? Did he do it so I would take the responsibility of ever having to replace an empty toilet paper roll away from him? Regardless of the reason, it took about 11 or 12 years, but I did manage to convert him to the "Roll Over" team.

My husband and I have actually been purchasing Cottonelle toilet paper almost exclusively for the past 15 years. The new Cottonelle is designed to roll over and is both softer and stronger. I actually thought that the original Cottonelle was already very soft and strong, but I suppose there's always room for improvement.

How Do You Roll?

It took about 15 years, but Team Over seems to have prevailed in our house. I'm talking about toilet tissue! It does not make sense to have the tail of the roll further away from you and possibly hidden from site. It's much more efficient to have the toilet paper roll over from the top. Any other way simply is not logical.

Cottonelle has brought this debate to the public and would like you to cast your vote for "Over" or "Under." The beloved Tori & Dean along with the Cottonelle puppies will be officially launching this debate on January 27th in New York City.
