Weekend Wishlist: "You Decide How To Survive" Adventure Book, a Dry-Erase Lamp, Pet Bunk Beds, and More!

It's Friday!  That means I've been browsing the new sales on Zulily.  I love shopping on the weekends because I only pay shipping on my first order and get free shipping on everything else from Friday through midnight on Sunday.  I usually make my wishlist on Friday mornings and share it on 3G2S right away.  This morning, I made my wishlist, but other things needed my attention.  By the time I got back to my computer this evening to type up this post, several of the things I had on my wishlist had already sold out.  Luckily, I was able to find a few more things I liked to make my top 8 most wanted for this week.

Back To School 2011: Hello Kitty Table Lamp by Sparkle Bee

Our 4.5 year old daughter is a huge fan of Hello Kitty!  She has everything from a Hello Kitty jacket to a Hello Kitty handbag.  One thing she did not have was a Hello Kitty lamp.  Well, Sparkle Bee from Marino Adriani, a popular brand of children's and teen's electronics, happened to announce that Hello Kitty and Paul Frank will be the focus of their product line for Fall 2011.

Although this lamp would have been perfect on my daughter's desk, it was more needed on her nightstand.  Her previous lamp was battery-operated, a result of my trying to eliminate the hazards of electrical cords when she was younger, was no longer necessary.  She was more than ready to upgrade to a big girl's lamp.

It is very apparent that this Hello Kitty Lamp is well-made and sturdy.  This lamp will not likely be accidentally knocked over by our children.  The pull-chain is actually only there for aesthetic reasons.  The lamp turns on and off with the push of a button, which is much more user-friendly for a child.

This lamp can take up to a 60 watt standard light bulb, but can also be used with compact fluorescent bulbs.  The lampshade is lovely when lit up and gives off a warm light.  I also love that the lamp bears a chrome Hello Kitty insignia on the front, which adds to the perceived value of this lamp, should you be considering it for a gift.

Giveaway & Review: M&M's Home Office Desk Products [CLOSED]

The characters of M&M's candy are cultural icons and are a special favorite in our house. We actually use the candy to bribe the twins to practice using the potty. We also have an M&M's firetruck and a few plush Star Wars M&M's, so it was about time that we added an M&M's lamp and computer accessory to our collection.

We are bringing another student's desk into the house soon, so it was very timely that we received this compact, but adorable LED desk lamp from Brands Unlimited. It runs on two AA batteries and is quite bright. It would also make a great bedside lamp for anyone who likes to read in bed. Without measuring, this lamp sits about a foot tall.

This lamp would be perfect for both a child or an adult M&M's fan. It is extremely user-friendly. Although the height is not adjustable, the head does pivot vertically. The power switch is at the back of the base and can be found easily with one's fingers without turning the lamp around.

This M&M's USB Desk Fan went to my husband. He is always warm and welcomed this little guy onto his computer desk. The fan uses very little power and plugs right into any USB port on your laptop, PC tower, computer monitor, or keyboard.

Like the lamp, this gadget is very simple to use. There is a power switch right on the front and you can manually adjust the vent to aim where cool air is most needed. Although this fan does work, my husband thinks it would be better for his personal needs if it was slightly more powerful.

Both this lamp and the USB fan retail for $19.99 each. I think it would be an adorable theme if you are setting up a study area for your child or a home office for yourself. These M&M's themed gadgets would also make fun gifts for co-workers who spend a lot of time at their desks.
