The Tea Collection Memorial Day Sale is on and you only have until Monday (5/27) to shop! You will find $12 boys' tops, $12 girls' leggings, and girls' dresses at the super-low price of $15. Right now, there is a wide selection of styles to choose from for all 3 deals. Who knows if that will still be true by Monday though!
I have to tell you that I wait all year long to find Tea Collection dresses for my 6 year old daughter at this price. The best part is that she can wear the short-sleeved dresses all year round with just bike shorts underneath for the warmer months and a long-sleeved layering tee plus leggings underneath during the colder months. They also look equally as stylish whether they're paired with canvas sneakers, flats, sandals, or boots! That's why I think these dresses are such a great value at this price.

Even though Spring will be arriving in just two days, we have not seen any signs of Spring here in Massachusetts. In fact, it is snowing outside right at this very moment. So, how do you cure Spring fever at your house? I usually do so by adding items to my children's warm-weather wardrobe (and maybe one or two items to my own). One of my favorite things about March is seeing all the adorable dressy Spring clothing for boys and girls to look their best on Easter and other Springtime holidays.

There are so many choices for girls' Holiday dresses out there. How do you know where to begin? Well if you're looking for something that is dressy, but not too formal, Tea Collection's special occasion dress would be a great place to start. All the clothing from Tea Collection is soft and comfortable, including their party dresses. I also love that the styles are girly, but very tasteful.
Visit Tea Collection online to view all their Holiday fashions for both girls and boys. They are currently offering flat rate $7 shipping and Free Shipping on orders over $150.

It's no secret that I love the globally-inspired children's fashions offered by Tea Collection, who has been offering clothing for girls, boys, and women long before my first child was even born. In fact, Tea Collection is currently celebrating a full decade of fashion with their Tenth Anniversary Collection. My personal weakness is the many girls' dresses Tea Collection designs in such pretty prints. Pairing them with leggings allows my daughter to wear these comfortable dresses without worrying about being active both in school and on the playground. I especially like how these short-sleeved dresses can be layered with a long-sleeved layering tee and leggings in the fall and winter and can be worn alone, with bike shorts, or with capri leggings during the balmier months.
Here are the six new girls' dresses introduced in honor of Tea Collection's 10th Anniversary . . .
Tea Collection Sumi Floral Dress - $35.00
Part of our special 10th anniversary collection. The Sumi Floral dress had its debut in the Japanese-inspired part of our Fall 2007 collection. Inspired by a brilliantly bold and graphic hand-crafted Japanese textile. We brought it back in a classic wrapneck knit style dress. You're sure to be a classic in it.
Tea Collection Butterfly Dot Dress - $29.00
Part of our special 10th anniversary collection. This flurry of red butterflies on a field of blue dots made its debut with our Fall 2009 Japan inspired collection. Brought back in a favorite flutter sleeve silhouette.
Tea Collection Hanji Floral Wrap Dress - $45.00
Part of our special 10th anniversary collection. The Hanji Floral dress debuted in Destination: Korea in Spring 2010. Inspired by handmade decorative Korean paper. We brought it back in its original printed poplin wrap style dress with side tie closure. Be an original!
Tea Collection Sanga Dress - $29.00
Part of our special 10th anniversary collection. The Sanga Dress first debuted in Destination: West Africa in Spring 2008. Inspired by Mali motifs and hand-dyed textiles, the dotted swirls print is sure to become a favorite all over again.
Tea Collection Floral Vine Dress - $29.00
Part of our special 10th anniversary collection. The Floral Vine Dress debuted in Spring 2007 in our Turkey-inspired collection. It was inspired by decorative sixteenth century Iznik pottery, named for the town in western Anatolia where it was made. Its delicate floral pattern comes to life in style and grace on this pretty printed knit dress in a favorite flutter sleeve silhouette.
Tea Collection Kasato Stripe Dress - $45.00
Part of our special 10th anniversary collection. The Kasato Stripe Dress first debuted in Destination: Brazil in Spring 2009. It has a nautical flavor and is named for the steamer ship that brought Japanese immigrants to Brazil in 1908.
Which dress is your favorite? I especially like the Butterfly Dot Dress since I have a soft spot for the color red.

Easter Sunday was a little bit on the chilly side this year. In fact, it even snowed for about 30 seconds. Still, my daughter could not let that stop her from wearing her oh-so-pretty new Stun Purple Rose Flutter Dress from the Small Concept children's boutique. She was so delighted by the dress that she did not even notice the chill in the air. The girly, but bold print of the fabric designed by Stun fit her personality perfectly. Little does she know that her father informed me yesterday that she should never be allowed to wear a dress ever again because she looks too pretty in them and that would make his job of keeping all the boys away that much more difficult.
Our 5 year old daughter usually takes a size 5/6 and this size 6 dress by Stun was a perfect fit. Both the waste and the hem hit right where they should. Due to the knee-length and the cut of this lined dress, we did not have a problem with her skirt blowing up even though the wind was pretty strong that day. Our daughter has decided that this dress is ideal for curtsying and twirling.

As a parent, I love this cotton dress because it is lined, 100% cotton, and is machine washable (hang to dry). Even though we did not have a problem with the wind catching the skirt of the dress, our daughter is quite active, as most 5 year old children are. Just to be on the safe side, Small Concept suggested a pair of Monkeybar Buddies Shorts for her to wear under the dress . . .
. . . and am I ever glad they did. Although our daughter did not go to the playground that day, she was a little overzealous with her curtsying at times. Thank goodness she wore the Monkeybar Buddies, which turned out to be so comfortable that she forgot she was wearing them. These shorts are made of nylon/spandex, can be both machine washed and dried, and are available in several color choices.
The Purple Rose Flutter Dress retails for $68. The same print is also available in a tunic and legging set. Small Concept carries many of my favorite children's apparel brands for girls and boys, such as Tea Collection and Appaman. I am so happy to have discovered Stun apparel on SmallConcept.com. The brand offers such charming, but comfortably designed clothing for girls. Here are a few more styles from the Stun Spring/Summer Collection for 2012 . . .
Remember that Small Concept offers flat rate shipping within the U.S. for $5.95 on orders under $150 and Free Shipping for U.S. orders over $150.

My husband is somewhat against our 4 year old daughter wearing black. He simply thinks it is not a color fitting for a little girl who should look sweet and adorable. Well, the owners of The Little-Little Black Dress Shop (and I) disagree with him. This girl's boutique offers a wide array of black dresses for girls that are not only sweet and adorable, but also chic and fashion-forward.
This Sophie Catalou Biancia Dress, available in sizes for both toddlers and girls, fits right in with the Spring/Summer 2011 trend of 3-dimensional flowers, which has been seen widely on clothing, handbags, and jewelry.
Of course, our little girl knows nothing about what is hot and what is not this season, but she does know what she likes. This dress definitely made it onto the list of things our daughter loves. She thinks it is "so pretty". She also adores the flowers and loves how the dress twirls when she dances.
As a parent, I think that the length of this dress is perfect. Because it hits at the knee and the skirt is not too full, there is no need to add a pair of bike shorts underneath. Also, the dress survived machine washing and drying without any shrinking, pilling, or fading. The only things that needed touching up after washing were the flowers. The petals curled a bit and no longer would lay flat. A little spray of Downy Wrinkle Releaser, which contains some starch, helped to smooth the flowers out and to keep them opened again.

Now that my daughter is 3yrs old, I've noticed her interest growing regarding "pretty" things. I have been eyeing pillowcase dresses for awhile, but was worried that they would impede her mobility when she was younger.
This adorable pillowcase dress in a size 4T was created by Jennifer's Jumpers. I think that we could have gotten away with a 3T, but I like the idea that this dress is so versatile that it fits her now and will probably still fit her in a year or two (or maybe even three). Most of Jennifer's Jumpers are 22 inches wide and the difference between sizes is just the length.
I love the black and white fabric choice because it can be used with any color ribbon really. It is extremely easy to replace the ribbon for a different look. I very much like the extra wide ribbon used here, so I will definitely look for something similar should I ever decide to replace the ribbon.
Not only are these dresses comfortable, they are also easy to care for. We machine washed our dress in cold water (ribbon included) and then hung it up to dry on a hanger with the top gathered. This worked out perfectly for us. The dress did not wrinkle at all and the top gathered nicely.
Jennifer's Jumpers also offers doll pillowcase dresses. I would love to see sets of matching dresses for girls and their dolls added to this boutique's product selection. What a great gift that would make for Christmas or a birthday!
Visit the Jennifer's Jumpers online store to learn more about pillowcase dresses and to view their full line of modern and vintage pillowcase dresses. You can also sign up to receive news and promotions via email, as well as follow JennifersJumpers on Twitter. Look for Jennifer's Jumpers pillowcase dresses locally if you are located in Louisiana.
Thank you to Jennifer's Jumpers for sending us a sample dress free of charge to base this review upon.
