"Z is for Zebra"

For our final installment I was going to go with "Zzzzzzzzzzzzz's" but I had too many sleeping children and pet photos and it would have been impossible to choose only one or two. So I decided to go with a classic. This is yet another zoo photo.

"Y is for Yummy"

Jake wanted our Y photo to be a yellow sheet of construction paper, so I had to veto his choice for the first time during this whole project. LOL!! I ended up trying to take a yummy photo with this sundae in front of a cupcake cookbook. It would have been yummier-looking if my whipped cream had not deflated so quickly.

"X is for X-Wing Fighter"

The first one is Jake's toy and the second one is another photo from the 2005 Star Wars exhibit. To get an idea of the size of the ship, that's Jake in the lower left (with me crouching in front of him) when he was about 21mos old.

As requested, I dug out a photo of these wookies from the 2005 Star Wars exhibit at the Science Museum. I remember they seemed at least 8ft tall and towered over my 6ft tall husband.

"V is for Van" by Karen & Jake

Jake came up with this one all by himself. His memory is so good that it scares me sometimes. He came up with the word "van" then he gives me the option of taking a photo of a minivan out in the parking lot or of this one on this block. He has not played with these blocks in so long and he still remembers every object featured on them! He never ceases to amaze me.

This is our old chihuahua Chi-Chi. He likes to tunnel and often sleeps under his bed rather than inside it.

"T is for Twenty-nine Day Old Twins"

This is one of my favorite photos of Makenzie and Luke. Did I ever mention that they were born 9.5 weeks early? This photo was taken after they had been moved from the NICU unit in a city hospital to the Special Care Nursery in our local hospital where they were finally able to share a bed.

This is a photo from the Star Wars exhibit at the Science Museum in 2005. My husband is a huge Star Wars fan. Although Jake attended the exhibit with us, he does not remember it at all.

This is another photo from our trip to the zoo in 2006. We had several photos of lions, but I like this one because it looks as if the king of the jungle is on his throne.

Since Jake is spending the weekend with my cousin's family, I am on my own for this one. We did manage to take photos for some letters ahead of time, but not for K. Since I am feeling a little sad that I can't be with my children for Mother's Day, I found this recent photo of Makenzie and myself.

For the letter J, Jake chose himself to be the subject of our photo. I think it was an obvious choice, don't you? The white J came off the wall in his bedroom where his initials hang.
